Okanagan Fall Wine Festival – Sept. 28 to Oct. 8 2017

It’s almost time for the much-anticipated Fall Wine Festival, running September 28th to October 8th! Now in its 37th season, the Okanagan Fall Wine Festival is the ideal opportunity to be immersed in a world-class wine region.

Kicking off with the BC Wine Awards in Kelowna, and culminating in the always exciting Cropped by Valley First tasting and farmers market in Penticton, this year’s event promises to be better than ever.

Here in the South Okanagan, wineries will be abuzz with activity throughout the Festival.

Hidden Chapel Winery is highlighting it’s new-release reds from 1-5 each day.

Jackson-Triggs is offering food and wine pairings featuring 6 exclusive, single-vineyard wines.

Our neighbours at Inniskillin are offering pairings with their Discovery Series wines, crafted from rare varietals.

Several wineries are holding special harvest dinners in conjunction with the Festival, as well.

Don’t miss these special, one-time-only events, which promise to be exciting, informative and delicious!

C.C. Jentsch hosts its Small-Lot Malbec Release, September 30th, from 1-2. It’s a great opportunity to be the first to try this beloved varietal, from a stellar vintage!

Do your best Lucille Ball impression (costumes encouraged!) and get your feet dirty at Oliver Twist’s Crush Party, also on September 30th! Grape stomps and contests for all ages, wine, food and music make this event messy and fun!

Daily, from October 2nd-4th, get a little exercise and gain some knowledge at Tinhorn Creek’s Grazing in the Vineyard. Join proprietor Kenn Oldfield for a vineyard hike, wine sampling and lunch by Miradoro Restaurant.

Check out some of the unique events further afield!

Experience a day in the life of a winemaker at the Harvest Work Day and Lunch at Noble Ridge, in Okanagan Falls. Pick grapes and taste some barrel samples before sitting down to a full, paired lunch.

Also in OK Falls, enjoy Vine Tails at See Ya Later Ranch. This station-to-station food and wine tour of the vineyard is a great way to spend the day. Four-pawed friends are welcome, too!

It’s worth the trip to Penticton for the Fall Festival’s Grand Finale event, Cropped by Valley First. Visitors will experience more than 80 BC wineries, live music, a farmers market, Canadian cheeses, and a special Pinot Bar, and more!

Watermark is part of the fun!

You’ll want to join us on October 8th, as we host the Festival’s signature event, Thanksgiving Brunch at the Watermark Beach Resort. This is a delicious and welcoming way to cap off the Wine Festival and celebrate the season.
