Guests at Devour! Osoyoos have the very good fortune to be able to taste the cuisine of Canada’s best kitchens in one of the country’s most stunning locales.
This year once again promises an incredible lineup of participating chefs. Devour! Osoyoos is so proud to showcase the talents of these industry leaders.
So much personality goes into the dishes every chef creates. What influenced the Devour! chefs to pursue their culinary passions, and what inspired their unique cooking styles? We were curious, and think Devour! festival guests might be, too. So we asked them!
In the spotlight this week, we’d like to introduce Watermark’s own Chef Adair Scott.
Chef Scott takes full advantage of the bounty of excellent regional ingredients produced in the Valley. To the fullest extent possible, Chef Scott is committed to supporting the area’s farms, ranchers, and fishermen, as well as artisanal producers like cheesemakers, winemakers and cideries. He has a talent for coaxing elegant flavours from humble farm-to-table fare.
The accolades are plentiful for Chef Scott. He has been repeatedly honoured as “Best Chef of the South Okanagan”, by Okanagan Life Magazine. In 2016, he was crowned, “Similkameen BBQ King”, by the Similkameen Independent Winegrowers, and he was recently named “Ambrosia Apple Chef of the Year” for his creative use of the local fruit in his Ambrosia Apple Fritter. With his exceptional talents, that’s certainly only the beginning of his list of recognitions!
Chef Scott is excited to once again be a part of the Devour! Osoyoos festival. His dedication to the culinary arts and to the celebration of the best in Canadian food and wine make him an ideal match for this event. Everything Chef Scott does showcases his passion for creating inspired and authentic dishes; we’re so proud to have him as part of Watermark’s team.
