Wineries In The 2026 Tasting Passport

Wine, Beer & Spirit Tastings In Osoyoos

15 Park and Backroads are located at Watermark Beach Resort, so you can start and end your day without ever needing a car. Tumbleweed Spirits on Lakeshore Drive is an easy walk north along the lakefront path, making it the perfect first stop outside the resort. For the remaining Osoyoos stops, Lakeside Cellars, Adega on 45th, Nk’mip Cellars and Moon Curser are all within 2.5 km, a short ride on a rental bike or a five-minute drive along the lake.

Osoyoos sits at the heart of Canada’s only desert and is surrounded by some of the warmest, most sun-drenched vineyard land in the country. The wine tastings in this area stretch along Lakeshore Drive and the surrounding benchlands. The remaining stops are a quick drive through the scenic Osoyoos townsite, making this the easiest cluster of the entire passport to work through in a single afternoon.

Backroads Brewing Co.

Osoyoos, BC

Located at Watermark Beach Resort, Backroads Brewing is a cozy craft brewery with a cabin feel. Think wood tables, board games and a rotating tap of small-batch ales and lagers. They brew on-site and at their original Nelson, BC location. Open since 2023, it is the perfect place to start or end a passport day without leaving the resort.

15 Park

Osoyoos, BC

Also within Watermark Beach Resort, 15 Park is one of Osoyoos’ most celebrated dining destinations. Open daily from breakfast through dinner, the menu celebrates fresh South Okanagan ingredients. It features over ten wines by the glass and an impressive wine cellar for those who prefer to order by the bottle. If you are in the mood for something different, try one of their seasonal cocktails like The Big Dill Caesar or the Bourbon Maple Fizz.

Tumbleweed Spirits

Osoyoos, BC

Tumbleweed Spirits is the passport’s one-of-a-kind distillery stop and Osoyoos’ own craft distillery on Lakeshore Drive. Everything is sourced, bottled and distilled right here in Osoyoos. They use BC grains, locally harvested Okanagan botanicals and spring water from Anarchist Mountain to craft whisky, gin, vodka and moonshine. This is a passport stop unlike any other on the list.

Liber Estates

Osoyoos, BC

Just four minutes north of Watermark and situated along the river, Liber Estates is a family-run organic winery with a genuine farm-to-bottle philosophy. Their wines are crafted with minimal intervention and aged in stainless steel or French oak. They are also available in individual-sized cans for easy sipping on the go. Call ahead for appointments as the team is often working in the cellar.

Lakeside Cellars

Osoyoos, BC

Nestled along the eastern shores of Lake Osoyoos, Lakeside Cellars is a family-owned winery with deep agricultural roots. The estate produces bold reds and crisp whites grown alongside one of Canada’s warmest lakes. Their wines reflect the unique terroir of the South Okanagan. Reservations are recommended and walk-ins are welcome when space allows.

Adega on 45th Estate Winery

Osoyoos, BC

Adega on 45th was founded in 2011 by the Nunes and Farinha families. Their South Okanagan farming roots trace back to 1966. Today, a women-led team produces small-batch Syrah, Cabernet Franc and Merlot from 100% BC estate fruit.

Nk’mip Cellars

Osoyoos, BC

Nk’mip Cellars (pronounced in-ka-meep) is the first Indigenous-owned winery in North America. It embodies the culture and heritage of the Osoyoos Indian Band in everything it does. Driven by the belief that they are “inspired to capture time in a bottle,” the winery produces internationally award-winning wines from a 32,000-acre Sonoran Desert landscape. The adjoining Sweetgrass restaurant serves locally sourced dishes on a sweeping patio overlooking Okanagan Lake.

Moon Curser Vineyards

East Bench, Osoyoos, BC

Perched on the East Bench above Osoyoos, Moon Curser Vineyards takes its name from the town’s gold-smuggling history. The tasting room is open daily and known for its irreverent character and bold wines. Look for their Tempranillo, Dolcetto and Tannat. These varieties are rarely found elsewhere in BC and show just how well the South Okanagan’s desert climate handles unconventional grapes.

Wine Tastings In Oliver

From Watermark, the drive north to Oliver takes roughly 20 minutes along Highway 97. The route passes through open desert landscape before opening into the vineyard-covered slopes of the Golden Mile Bench and Black Sage Bench. This corridor is home to some of the most celebrated estates in BC wine country. It is worth dedicating a full day to work through the stops here at a relaxed pace. Most tasting rooms are clustered along Black Sage Road and Highway 97, making it easy to move between them without backtracking.

Nostalgia Wines

Black Sage Bench, Oliver, BC

Nostalgia Wines is a woman-owned boutique winery in Oliver, run by vintner and fourth-generation farmer Gina Fernandes Harfman. On a 14.5-acre Black Sage Bench estate, she crafts small-lot wines that capture the character of each vintage. Gina invites guests to pause and make moments to remember while exploring the wines. In 2024, WineAlign named Nostalgia the #3 Top Small Winery in Canada. The tasting room is open year-round and hosts a popular Sunset Lounge from mid-May to early November, with live music on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Tinhorn Creek Vineyards

Golden Mile Bench & Black Sage Bench, Oliver, BC

One of the South Okanagan’s pioneering estates, Tinhorn Creek has been shaping the region’s identity since 1993. The winery spans 150 acres across the Golden Mile Bench and Black Sage Bench. Its portfolio ranges from bright whites to the bold reds the Oliver corridor is known for. Expect exceptional patio views and a welcoming tasting experience.

Black Hills Estate Winery

Black Sage Bench, Oliver, BC

Located 13 km north of Osoyoos on Black Sage Road, Black Hills Estate Winery is one of the Okanagan’s most acclaimed estates. Built around Bordeaux and Rhône varietals, the west-facing vineyards enjoy hot dry days and cool nights. This produces concentrated, flavourful fruit at harvest. Their signature Nota Bene blend is among the most sought-after wines in BC. Ask what is available at the tasting bar when you arrive.

Phantom Creek Estates

Black Sage Bench, Oliver, BC

Originally established in 1996, Phantom Creek Estates represents the premium end of South Okanagan winemaking. Director of Winemaking Mark Beringer leads the team. Consulting winemaker Olivier Humbrecht MW, France’s first Master of Wine, guides their white wine program. Together they produce meticulously handcrafted reds and whites from organically farmed vines. Every bottle is hand-sorted and fermented in French oak.

Stoneboat Vineyards

Black Sage Bench, Oliver, BC

Family-owned Stoneboat Vineyards is committed to expressing the distinct terroir of the Black Sage Bench. It is Oliver’s self-described Pinot House. The estate’s Orchard Block Vineyard has been maturing since the late 1970s. The heat-retaining stones throughout the vineyard keep the soil warm well into cooler autumn temperatures, allowing the grapes to fully ripen and develop a rich, enduring flavour. Their Pinotage is particularly worth seeking out, rare, expressive and a true South Okanagan original.

River Stone Estate Winery

Oliver, BC

River Stone Estate Winery sits on a small knoll just north of Oliver, alongside the Okanagan River. Owner and winemaker Ted Kane does everything by hand. The vineyard grows five Bordeaux varietals alongside Pinot Gris and Gewürztraminer in rocky, glacially deposited soils. It is a genuine hidden gem with a cozy farmhouse-style tasting room.

Intersection Estate Winery

Golden Mile Bench, Oliver, BC

Founded in 2009 on Oliver’s Golden Mile, Intersection Estate Winery has built a strong reputation for terroir-driven wines. The winery is particularly known for its contrasting Merlots. Same varietal, same harvest date, yet entirely different wines depending on the soil. The tasting room also runs the Vinstitute Wine School, making this one of the most educational stops on the passport.

Wine Tasting In The Similkameen Valley

The drive from Osoyoos to Keremeos takes around 45 minutes heading west along Highway 3. The road winds through dramatic canyon scenery before descending into the Similkameen Valley, a lesser-known wine region that rewards the drive with stunning landscapes and a quieter, more intimate tasting experience. Plan this as a half-day trip as one of the most scenic and memorable days of the passport journey.

Corcelettes Estate Winery

Similkameen Valley, Keremeos, BC

Located in the scenic Similkameen Valley, Corcelettes Estate Winery is known for its Bordeaux varietals, Syrah and Pinot Noir. The estate vineyards are farmed with a commitment to sustainability. Guests enjoy a seated tasting on a patio with panoramic Similkameen Valley views. It is one of the most visually striking stops on the passport. Bookings are recommended through their online system.

Plan Your South Okanagan Wine Tasting Route

The wine passport has 16 stops spread across Osoyoos, Oliver and Keremeos, here is a suggested way to organize your tastings across a multi-night stay.

Day 1: At Watermark & Around Osoyoos

Start at Backroads Brewing inside the resort. From there, walk along the lakefront path to Tumbleweed Spirits on Lakeshore Drive, an easy stroll with lake views the whole way. Several other Osoyoos stops are within 2.5 km of the resort, so consider renting a bike for the afternoon. The flat lakeside path makes cycling between Lakeside Cellars, Adega on 45th, Nk’mip Cellars and Moon Curser a genuinely enjoyable way to taste your way through the day. Finally, end the evening at 15 Park Bistro back at the resort.

Day 2: The Oliver Corridor

Head north on Highway 97 for a scenic 20-minute drive into Oliver. Work through Nostalgia Wines, River Stone, Intersection, Stoneboat, Black Hills and Tinhorn Creek. Stop at Moon Curser on the East Bench on the way back into Osoyoos.

Day 3: Premium Estates & The Similkameen

Dedicate the morning to Phantom Creek Estates on the Black Sage Bench. Then make the scenic 45-minute drive west along Highway 3 to Corcelettes for an afternoon tasting with panoramic Similkameen Valley views.

Most importantly, remember that your passport is valid across multiple stays. If life gets in the way of a full itinerary, you have every reason to return and keep exploring.

Supporting BC’s Wine Community

Watermark is a proud supporter of the local wine scene, built on genuine relationships with owners, winemakers and wine lovers across the South Okanagan.

The BC wine industry has faced significant challenges in recent years. Every visit to a local tasting room, every bottle shared and every passport stamp is a direct act of support for the families and communities behind these wines. Your Stay & Sip experience matters beyond the glass.
