Who’s on the Guest List?
It’s tempting to invite everyone in your entire family to a big reunion, but take a moment to plan before you send the evites. How large a gathering can you safely hold? Check with provincial and federal health guidelines, as well as Watermark’s Health and Safety page for more information. If anyone has to take a rain check, Photoshop is always an option!
Townhome or Suite?
If you have a small family gathering, consider renting a beachfront townhome. You’ll enjoy the privacy of the beachfront location, the convenience of your own barbecue, kitchen, and patio, plus the fun of having everyone together. For a large gathering or family reunion (especially if people are arriving and departing on different days) consider reserving several suites so that everyone can have their own room. Both options include spacious and bright rooms, full bathrooms, fully equipped kitchens and more. Let the entertainment begin!
Activity Planning
We love being located in the sunny South Okanagan and are proud to belong to an active and outdoorsy community. Get outside and soak up some vitamin D while you play a couple rounds of golf, go on a bicycle tour and check out some world-famous local wineries, or spend the whole day enjoying the cooling waters of the pool. Just steps from your room the beach awaits, rent a canoe or kayak to explore Osoyoos lake, or enjoy a good book as you work on your tan. With an endless list of fun things to do it’s easy to keep the kids entertained while the adults sneak in a little R&R. Plan a few activities that everyone can enjoy, but make sure you leave a little time for relaxing too.
Photo Sharing
Sign up for a site like flickr, Dropbox or Google drive so everyone can share their photos together. For social media posts, come up with a unique hashtag for everyone to use so you can easily find everyone’s fun comments and pictures. Don’t forget to tag Watermark and use the #WatermarkBeachResort hashtag for a chance to be featured on our social media feeds (Facebook & Instagram). Make sure you snap a few pics to frame and look back on for years to come.
