The sun drops behind the hills, the lake calms down and somewhere a band starts playing. That’s a Friday night in Osoyoos. The music turns up on patios, in plazas, beside vineyards and on the beach, and most of it sits within easy reach of Watermark Beach Resort.

Music In The Park At Gyro Beach
A folding chair, a lake breeze and whoever’s on the bandshell that night. The most reliable plan in Osoyoos all summer long.
Osoyoos Music in the Park runs free weekly outdoor concerts at Gyro Park through the warm months, with Watermark on the sponsor list. The lineup leans local with the occasional touring act passing through the valley. Bring your own seating, walk over from the beach and stay as long as the sound carries.
Insider tip: The grass slightly off-centre gives the best sound. The shade pulls in better around 7pm.

15 Park Live Music Series
The patio fills up, the wine list comes out and someone with a guitar starts playing. Saturday afternoons at 15 Park follow that rhythm May through September.
The Saturday Live Music Series runs 2pm to 4pm with a rotating lineup of South Okanagan singer-songwriters. The room transitions from late lunch to early dinner, so a 2pm table tends to expand. The music’s free, the cocktail list is considered and the patio looks out over the lake.
Insider tip: Make a reservation on OpenTable to secure your spot.
Downtown Ticketed Nights
A handful of other downtown spots host the occasional concert. Gino’s Coffee House books ticketed evenings with touring singer-songwriters, often Western Canadian Music Award nominees and similar pedigree. Tickets sell at the door or by e-transfer. Pizza Factory runs occasional ticketed concerts on the main floor: the band sets up between the booths and the room turns into a 60-seat club for the night. Check ahead, both books infrequently.
Vineyard & Winery Live Music Sessions

A 25 to 30-minute drive north of Osoyoos puts you in Oliver, BC’s wine country. The wineries here run their own music programmes through tasting season, mostly afternoon sets timed to the patio crowd. The easiest way to do an afternoon of vineyard music without thinking about the drive back is to book a lakeside suite at Watermark and call a cab.
- Phantom Creek Estate runs Sunday afternoon sets through summer. The vineyards do most of the work and the lineup just makes sure you’re still there at sunset. Tasting flights and full pours, patio overlooking the rows.
- Hester Creek Winery schedules patio music 1pm to 4pm on rotating days through the season. Long terrace, full menu from the on-site restaurant. The acoustic singer-songwriter format suits the space.
- District Wine Village has the most variety of any single stop. The plaza hosts free afternoon concerts spring through autumn, with multiple tasting rooms on site so you can drift between flights without leaving the music. Folk and Americana on weekdays, the occasional silent disco on a weekend evening.
- River Stone Winery runs Saturday Live Music and Food Truck afternoons mid-June through mid-September. Free entry, rotating food trucks, music 1pm to 3pm. The closest thing to a backyard show a winery gets.
- Lakeside Cellars programmes complimentary Saturday afternoon music through the season. Closer to Watermark than the Oliver venues, smaller patio, more intimate.
Lively Patios & Pours
Brewery patio, beachfront cantina, lakeshore distillery. The casual end of the South Okanagan music calendar, spring through autumn.

Backroads Brewing
A pint brewed steps from where you’re sitting and a local musician making the most of a Thursday evening. Patio Sessions at Backroads Brewing run every Thursday night through summer, free entry, on the patio when the weather cooperates and inside when it doesn’t.
Backroads opened its Osoyoos location at 15 Park Place in 2023, sharing the building with the resort. The brew list rotates frequently, the patio looks over the lake and the lineup leans local. Monthly Saturday Music Bingo adds a different texture: $2 cover, just-for-fun energy.
Insider tip: 6:30pm doors are the cleanest way in. The patio fills up by 7pm.
Enjoy These Patios With Music
Spirit Beach Cantina sits on the east side of Osoyoos Lake with the largest outdoor deck in town and weekend live music through summer. Mix of free acoustic sets and ticketed evening shows, Mexican food and sunset across the water.
Tumbleweed Spirits on Lakeshore Drive hosts live music at its seasonal markets and special events throughout the year, including a Thanksgiving Market in October. Personal feel, the cocktail programme runs deep.
Sharpe Distillery is a 30-minute drive west into the Similkameen Valley near Cawston. Books occasional ticketed shows by touring singer-songwriters through summer.
Dance Hall & Community Concerts

Tickets, seats and shows you make a plan around. The other end of the spectrum from a walk-up patio.
Osoyoos ELKS Hall
Cash bar, dance floor, a band that knows the room. The Saturday night that doesn’t go out of style. The ELKS Hall programmes two kinds of evenings. The Elks Dance series brings in Okanagan acts like Rebel Luv and Shaune Ann Feuz & 4 to the Floor for ticketed dance nights, 19+ with cash bar. Separate from that, the hall books occasional sit-down concerts with touring blues, soul and roots artists.
Insider tip: Tickets often sell at Elvis Fine Jewellery in Osoyoos or by e-transfer. The dance nights sell out, the concerts have more room.
Frank Venables Theatre
A 400-seat theatre where the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac and Elton John keep showing up by way of their best tribute acts. Plus the occasional touring original. Frank Venables Theatre is a 25-minute drive north in Oliver. The South Okanagan Concert Series and Venables Alive! Local Artist Series run through the year with tribute acts, classical chamber, comedy, theatre and the occasional touring name from Big Sugar to Delhi 2 Dublin. Tickets typically $30 to $80.
Insider tip: The tribute calendar books early. It’s worth checking the season ahead when planning a trip.
