What’s On At 15 Park

Patio season is here and 15 Park is ready for it. This season brings a newly refreshed wine list, live music every Saturday afternoon, and the return of Watermark Wine Picks. There are plenty of reasons to pull up a chair and stay a while.

As Heard On BC Food & Wine Radio

General Manager David McBean recently joined BC Food & Wine Radio, recorded live on the 15 Park patio. He talked about what’s new this season, including the newly introduced wine list and the Music Series on the Patio. This is the first of three consecutive weeks of Watermark content on the show. The episode also features Christa-Lee McWatters of Adega on 45th, Ryan McKibbon of Black Hills Estate Winery, Leandro Nosal of Tinhorn Creek Vineyards and Michael Kullmann of Osoyoos Larose. The episode is worth a listen on your drive down.

A New Wine List At 15 Park

The updated wine list at 15 Park is focused entirely on BC producers, with a strong lean toward the southern Okanagan. It’s the kind of list that rewards curiosity. You’ll find familiar names alongside a few bottles worth asking your server about. If you’ve been meaning to work your way through the region one glass at a time, this is a good place to start.

“It is such an exciting time of year for our wine list at the Watermark Beach Resort,” according to Watermark’s General Manager David McBean. “After tasting over 400 wines in the winter, we’ve selected a list of 108 different wines to share with our guests for the next year. A new wine list also means new wineries that have never been on our list before.”

2026 Wine Menu Features Of 15 Park

On this month’s wine features we highlight a new winery to our wine list at 15 Park, Black Market Wine Co. in Kaleden, BC just a few minutes south of Penticton. This small family winery is run by a couple originally from Alberta. They used to drive to BC to get their hands on the small boutique wines of the Okanagan and bring back cases for themselves and their friends to Alberta. Their friends later called them the “Wine Black Marketeers” which they kept that name when they purchased the winery. From this winery we have two wines on our list.

Black Market Wine Co. — 2021 Estate Series Merlot

We have a lot of choices for Merlot in the valley so when we decided to carry the 2021 Estate Series Merlot, it had to be because it was a very special wine. Often Merlot’s don’t get enough time in the bottle before they are released but this one is absolutely ready to go but could lie down for a while as well.  This Merlot had very concentrated deep fruit flavours of cassis, plum, blackberry and cherry. This wine had a long, balanced finish of cinnamon and black pepper that you would almost expect from other varietals.

This wine would be great with almost anything coming out of the 15 Park kitchen.

Black Market Wine Co. — 2025 Estate Series Bacchus

Also new to the list is the 2025 Estate Series Bacchus. Not only a new wine for us, but a new varietal to the 15 Park wine list. Bacchus is a grape as a result of a cross breed of Riesling, Sylvaner and Muller-Thurgau. This wine has crisp acidity and has aromatics of pear and citrus fruits like orange and lemon. The finish is a bit of citrus with a really nice minerality. While Bacchus could pair well with many dishes, I personally think this is a nice chilled wine to have on the patio right at the start of your meal with a group of friends before your appetizers even arrive.
