Paint and Sip Event Offers Art and Wine in Support of Osoyoos Lake!

Get ready for a night filled with painting, delicious beverages, and conversation! The Osoyoos Paint and Sip fundraiser will take place at Watermark Beach Resort this weekend, giving you an opportunity to gather with friends, flex your artistic muscles, and enjoy some wine too. The fun evening will help to raise funds for the Osoyoos Lake Water Quality Society, an organization that provides weekly testing of Osoyoos Lake in the summer months, and offers education on the lake.

For just $20 per ticket, you can indulge in some tasty treats, wine samples, art supplies, and guidance from experienced and talented professionals. Who knows, you may even end up with a masterpiece to take home and hang above the fireplace. Some lucky artists may even have their work displayed by the OLWQS.

The acclaimed, young local artist, Karsten Coty-Scholl, will be on-hand at the event to help provide some painting tips as you attempt to capture the scene of Osoyoos Lake. This talented artist’s pop art portraits recently featured in a solo exhibit at the Osoyoos Art Gallery, so you know you’re in good hands. Alan Bleiken, who has experience teaching artistic techniques, will also be in attendance for the evening.

The fundraiser will help OLWQS host an Osoyoos Lake Appreciation Day at Gyro Park on the Saturday of the May long weekend. Event organizers plan to have music, drawing people to enjoy the wonder of Osoyoos Lake, while raising awareness. The OLWQS weekly testings of the lake throughout the summer to monitor temperatures, dissolved oxygen, turbidity and acidity levels.

The ‘Paint and Sip’ Fundraiser will take place this Saturday, March 19th, from 7-10 pm, right in our very own Vineyard Ballroom!

Join us at Watermark Beach Resort this weekend and immerse yourself in a night of creative fun! A limited number of tickets are available at our front desk or contact us at 1.888.755.3480!
