Presentation: Native Plants and Pollinators

July 28 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Come join Lia, stewardship biologist with the Okanagan Similkameen Stewardship Society as she explains the importance of many different native plants to pollinators in our region. After that, she’ll then take you on a tour of some of the habitat restoration work OSS undertook on our site in 2018.

OSS is a grassroots non-profit, non-governmental organization that helps local residents and communities conserve, steward and restore important wildlife habitats.

Through the summer of 2019, the Grist Mill and Gardens will be hosting a series of informative talks about the natural and cultural history of the Okanagan/Similkameen featuring some exceptional and engaging speakers. All talks are free with admission.
