Northern Italian Cusine of Lombardy
April 21 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm$38.00
Northern Italian cuisine of Lombardy – Lombardy relies on rice and polenta much more than pasta as a daily staple. However, it is still prevalent, often coming in the form of tortelli or stuffed pastas which are rich with egg, butter and cheese or served in meaty broths. Most traditional North Italian recipes call for unsalted butter rather than olive oil, and Northern cooks use much less tomato in recipes; instead, they employ wine or broth as the liquid and chopped herbs for flavor. The results can be extraordinarily elegant.
The Communal Table brings together locals and visitors to celebrate regional food and wine, featuring fare that is local, rustic, simple, straightforward and seasonal. Held at Miradoro Restaurant at Tinhorn Creek Vineyards at 6:30 pm on Tuesdays from April to May and Oct to Dec.
