The Art of the Pearl Gala is one of our signature events of the Osoyoos Oyster Festival. Incredible oyster creations will be served from local restaurants by our local chefs, as well as fresh shucked oysters and charcuterie offerings all evening as well as wine samples from the area’s award winning wineries.
Special guest Patrick McMurray “Shucker Paddy”, former World Champion Oyster Shucker and owner of The Ceili Cottage Restaurant in Toronto, will once again be making the trip west and be shucking fresh oysters, courtesy of Codfathers Seafood Market. Receive your complimentary Osoyoos Oyster Festival Wine Glass upon arrival. Non- Seafood options will be available. This is a fun, social, grazing and tasting event, inspired by the sea, and as always, we encourage guests to come in costume. You will also be encouraged to participate in the People’s Choice Award for best pairing, winners will be announced at the end of the evening.
Reception 6pm-7pm – join us in the courtyard for sparkling wine tastings and light canape service. Gala Event begins at 7pm, with food and beverage stations offering until 9:30pm. Fresh shucked oysters will be available all evening. A cash bar, charcuterie buffet, photo booth, DJ and dancing will round out the evening which will end at 11pm. Grab bags will be available to purchase for a chance to win genuine pearl jewelry, cash prizes, gift cards and more! Shuttle service to and from the event is included in the ticket price. Shuttles will depart at intervals from set locations.
