Winter in the Okanagan

Winter in the Okanagan is an experience that you will remember for years to come!

Osoyoos is a true four-season playground with its temperate year-round weather and incredible local activities and hospitality. Explore the vast natural surroundings, partake in wholesome community activities, or relax into some quiet “me-time” and pampering. Whether you’re a seasoned local, or just visiting, charming Osoyoos is filled with exciting experiences for everyone!

(Fine) Dining

Osoyoos may be a quaint town in British Columbia, but it brings world-class dining experiences to the South Okanagan. With a long list of incredible local wineries and their associated restaurants, Osoyoos has made a name for itself amongst food and wine lovers far and wide!

Included in that list is 15 Park Bistro, a staple in the Watermark community and all around the Okanagan. Known for its stunning panoramic views of Osoyoos Lake and signature black and white interior designs, 15 Park Bistro has the perfect atmosphere to indulge in great food, wine, and conversation.

Chef Nick Atkins has proudly curated a delectable Holiday menu, with perfected winter must-haves like the multi-course Sunday night Prime Rib, or on the sweeter side, the Orange & Almond “Pouding Chômeur.” No matter what you decide to order, 15 Park Bistro will be a dining experience you won’t soon forget!

Winter Wine Tours

It’s called Wine Country for a reason! Even in the winter months, many of the local wineries remain open. The vineyards sparkle in the sunlight with a faint dusting of frost or snow, and you can often be treated to a quieter, calm atmosphere. Most people visit wineries in the warmer summer months, so you can look forward to an intimate experience with personalized service during your winter winery visit. It’s recommended you contact the winery you’re interested in before visiting to ensure they are open and to verify their safe visiting policies.

Contact our concierge to help you connect with our preferred tour operators or plan your own day trip. Taste the authentic flavours of the Okanagan while you enjoy some of life’s finer things in pristine and stunning settings. Wine not winter in Osoyoos?

Spa Visits

It wouldn’t be a vacation without a trip to the spa. Our friends over at Levia Wellness Spa are a big part of the Watermark community and offer a wide range of top-tier services and treatments.

Keep things warm and cozy while you winter in the Okanagan, and treat yourself to Levia’s Balance Package which includes a relaxation massage, organic facial, and an herbal pedicure. Breathe in, Breathe out. You deserve this!

Skiing, Snowshoeing & Snowmobiling

Nothing says winter in the Okanagan like hitting the slopes on a warm bluebird day!

Baldy Mountain Resort is local and a great place to spend the day skiing, snowboarding, or snowshoeing. The resort is one of the highest ski elevations in Canada, with a summit of 2,310m and a ski lift that services up to 2,123m.

Enjoy a day filled with downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, or just taking in the views. Check out the Baldy Bar & Lounge for a post-hill bevy, or come back to Watermark and pair your decadent meal with a glass of award-winning local wine at 15 Park Bistro.

McKinney Nordic Ski Club is the place to be if you love cross-country skiing. The club maintains over 9 km of well-groomed cross-country ski and snowshoe trails, guided through some of BC’s stunning rolling mountains. Trail use is by donation and the perfect place to get a breath of fresh air.

Get out onto a trail and partake in an epic snowmobiling adventure. Make sure you are avalanche prepared and exercise extreme caution when exploring BC’s vast backcountry trails.

Craft Fairs & Community Skating Rinks

Osoyoos’s community is what gives this special place so much heart, and its residents work hard to create a welcoming space for everyone to connect and share in the winter holiday festivities!
