Mt Baldy
www.skibaldy.com

Mt. Baldy is a mountain retreat as yet virtually undiscovered. To locals we are known for untracked powder and superb tree skiing and boarding. To others we are a mountain getaway where the white solitude and stillness are appreciated. Our location on the mountain tops of the Okanagan-Similkameen and Boundary-Kootenay regions of BC is just minutes away from the communities of Oliver, Osoyoos and Penticton. We are located in the heart of Desert Wine Country - a year round destination known for excellent wine, great golf, friendly people and of course fantastic skiing.

With one of the highest base elevations in BC at 5,665 ft, the mountain is assured consistent skiing conditions and an annual snowfall of over 20 feet. The ski area includes the Eagle Double Chair, the McKinney T-bar, a Magic Carpet and the NEW Sugar Lump Quad Chair. The Eagle Chair rises 1,293 vertical feet with access to over 400 skiable acres of diverse trails and glades; however, the mountain rises another 500 feet with access to the presently skied South face for the more adventuresome. The Sugar Lump chair rises 742 vertical feet opening up additional beginner and intermediate ski trails, and is the new home of the Terrain Park. The McKinney T-bar rises 337 vertical feet with access to beginner and intermediate ski trails.

At Mt. Baldy we offer an authentic winter experience far from the crowds of other ski areas with our relaxed pace, family-friendly atmosphere and down-to-basics simplicity. We are a hidden gem where the outdoor environment is celebrated, where people are valued and the timeless spirit of skiing and mountain play thrives. Come experience the difference for yourself!

Silver Star
www.skisilverstar.com

There's a reason why Silver Star was voted the number one Nordic destination in North America by Forbes Magazine. Silver Star not only boasts more than 60 kilometres of groomed trails, our trails are blanketed with some of the best snow anywhere in the world. In addition, Silver Star is known for its early snow, so your season starts that much sooner. Combine that with average daily temperatures -5 C (23 F) and 45 perfectly groomed mountain trails and the result is a truly incredible Nordic experience. Whether you are new to the sport or an elite athlete, there is literally something for everyone.

That's why we are playing host to some of the best Nordic ski teams in the world. Both the Norwegian Nordic and Biathlon National Teams will train at Silver Star prior to the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games. But that's not all, The Russian, Finnish, Australian, New Zealand and Switzerland's National Cross Country Teams are also making their way to Silver Star starting in December 2008.
