It may be February, but it’s already time to start talking about golf here in the South Okanagan! This weekend, we will be at the Vancouver Golf Show, chatting with golfers about the great golf courses in our region and the relaxing golf vacation packages that we have here at Watermark. While it may seem early in the season to book a Canadian golf vacation, Osoyoos is in the heart of a desert and has one of the longest golf seasons in the country. This means that our South Okanagan golf courses are already geared up and ready for a great 2015.

Sonora Dunes opened for the season on February 2nd and is located right in Osoyoos with a beautiful course that offers great golf and spectacular views. From now until April 30th, golfers can take advantage of the special shoulder season rates of $25 for 9 holes or $48 for 18 holes.

The Osoyoos Golf Club has announced that they are opening one of their courses for the season starting Saturday, February 14th – just in time for a romantic round of golf for Valentine’s Day! This golf club offers two full-length golf courses, the Park Meadows course and the Desert Gold course. The Desert Gold course is the first course to open this Saturday and the Park Meadows course will open sometime in the near future. In the meantime, you will love the unique, links-style golfing and great views on the Desert Gold course.
Fairview Mountain is a fantastic South Okanagan golf course located in Oliver, just an 18-minute drive from Watermark Beach Resort. This prestigious golf course has previously been awarded the BCPGA Golf Facility of The Year award and has been named one of the Top 100 Golf Courses in Canada by Score Magazine. Weather permitting, this Four Star “Must Play” course (as rated by Golf Digest) will open on Thursday, March 19th.
The Nk’MIP Canyon Desert Golf Course is owned and operated by the Osoyoos Indian Band and offers a uniquely South Okanagan experience in Oliver, BC. It is a full length championship golf course and, weather permitting, you will be able to hit the greens on March 13th.

Twin Lakes Golf Course is located just a short 40-minute drive away from Osoyoos in Kaleden. The course is located in a scenic valley in the midst of towering rock cliffs and offers a great challenge for golfers. Because of its location a bit further north of Osoyoos, Twin Lakes is still anxiously waiting for the rest of the snow to melt off their course, but they will likely be open soon!
With two local golf courses already open for the season and many more following in the coming weeks, now is the perfect time to book a South Okanagan golf package with Watermark Beach Resort and start your own golf season early.
